Angry Birds Seasons celebrates Halloween with new bird.

It's that time of the year where humans around the world celebrates Halloween. You may not know, but yes, we're celebrating Halloween next week with costumes, tricks and treats etc. a fun and scary night. Do you have your costumes ready? Most important for me are the treats.

Besides humans, the always Angry Birds will also be part of the festivities with an upgrade to Seasons named Ham'o'ween. The update includes 45 levels "filled with pumpkin patches, exploding jack-o-lanterns, and creepy skeletons, lit by a full moon and eerie lantern light". But there is more.

Ham'o'ween adds a new orange small bird to the game. He's small, but... I'll let you find out. Of course the update is free for you to download on the App Store and Android Market if you haven't already been notified about it.

Enjoy the game and wish you all a creepy Halloween.

Facebook Messenger upgraded.

Facebook Messenger is a standalone app developed by Facebook to send messages to your friends around the world. The update brings the app to version 1.5 and lets you see who's online and who's mobile and see when the other person is typing. Other features include:

- A faster way to compose new messages to the people you message most.
- Various performance improvements.
- Support for 12 additional languages.
- Support for iOS 5.

Facebook Messenger 1.5 is available on iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

I wonder why Facebook made the Messenger a standalone app?

Apple releases iOS 5.

The much awaited update is available for download since last night. So if you haven't got it yet, plug in your device to your PC/Mac and iTunes will notify of the update. If it doesn't, just click the Check for updates button and you will be invited to download it. I'm currently downloading it, so wait until I'm done before you do so :). The servers in Capertino are already overloaded and the file is 700MB in size.

Among the new features in iOS 5, the most noteworthy are the ability to navigate using five or more fingers to switch between open apps and close them as well; a new and free messaging app that works with iOS only to send messages, photos and short videos; Safari now supports tabs; iCloud gives you 5GB free online storage accessible from any Apple devices; a new notifications system etc.

I will post more about my experience with iOS 5 once I get my iPad updated. Stay tuned. In the meantime, watch a short video introducing IOS 5.
