iOS 5.1 for iPad available for download.

Besides the showing off of the New iPad last night by Apple, they also announced the availability of iOS 5.1 update for the generation 1 and 2 of the iPad. The update also applies to the iPhone and some version of the iPod Touch. It's no surprised that the update did go live last night and I'm downloading it as I write this. 




What's relevant with this update:
1. Photos can now be deleted from photo stream.
2. Redesigned camera app for iPad.
3. Audio for TV shows and movies on iPad optimized to sound louder and clearer.
4. Podcast controls for playback speed and 30 second rewind for iPad.


There are other new features, but I'm listing only those that are relevant to iPad owners living in this part of the world. For example, Apple also updated AT&T network indicator to display "4G", which totally irrelevant. The picture shows the complete list of features in iOS 5.1. Head over to Apple website for more.


iOS 5 can be downloaded with the iPad connected to iTunes on a PC and Mac or via Software update on the iPad itself.
